Clothesline

Gently used clothing (from babies up to adults) – including coats and footwear are available. This vital ministry happens on the first Thursday of each month. Hours of operation are 10am to 6pm. A delicious meal is served each lunch and dinner hour on the day of the Clothesline. Donations are accepted and can be dropped into the bin just inside the back door. Once a year in June, a bike repair and giveaway happens and is a wonderful way to touch our community in a practical way. Come on out and see what all the talk is about!

Matthew 25:35-40

35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

reGeneration

This ministry is an extension of Bethel specifically to the area residents of Glencoe, Ontario. With a mission of “Connecting Generations by Caring for the Needs of People”, the reGeneration ministry provides a place where followers of Christ can unite in their call to reach out to their community. Various activities are planned throughout the year, enabling the reGeneration team to:

  • show the love of Jesus while looking after peoples' practical needs
  • inspire and teach all age groups to become everything that God intended them to be
  • challenge the generations to look outside of their own community and become world changers

Backpack Assistance

Many backpacks are put together by Bethel Volunteers for those who are unable to afford school supplies for their children. We aim to make sure that children have the supplies that they need come September. We accept applications throughout the summer, and the backpacks are gender and grade specific. Applications are available in the office or at Clothesline.
