Welcome Nathan!

After a process of much prayer and careful consideration, we are thrilled to introduce you to the newest member of our team at Bethel, Nathan Polmateer. Nathan will be stepping into the role of Director of Serving & NextGen beginning on September 3, 2019. Please be praying for the Polmateers as they make this significant transition in the coming weeks!

Nathan was born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario. After moving to Hamilton to live with his sister’s family in 2001, Nathan heard the gospel for the first time. At the age of 18, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour and was immediately baptized Easter of 2003.

Shortly after turning to Christ, Nathan met Stacie at Flamborough Baptist Church and they were married in June 2005. Together they have been blessed with nine amazing children; Olivia 12, Micah 11, Addison 9, Genevieve 7, Josie and Stella 5, Jansen 4, Grace 2 and Aneila 1.  Nathan strives to build their family on the foundation of Christ.

Nathan has worked in the corporate world as a business leader for years, but in 2013, he began to sense the Lord prompting to serve Him in full-time ministry. As a family, they took some big, sacrificial steps of faith to enable Nathan to pursue God’s call. Currently, he is just about to complete a BA in Theology through Briercrest Bible College and Seminary.

Nathan truly enjoys coming alongside students, children and leaders, mentoring them and training them up to be on fire for the Lord.

Nathan’s prayer is that “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might” (Deut 6:5). That this wouldn’t be something that we simply say, but this would be how we live out our day-to-day lives, training up one another in the ways of the Lord!

In his spare time, Nathan loves spending time with his family, working with his hands-on building projects, farming, playing sports and spending time outside.
