Love My Neighbour Strathroy 2019

The original idea behind the Love My Neighbour project was to serve our community with the goal of living out our church's vision of "glorifying God by making disciples who make disciples".

The Love My Neighbour event was held on Saturday, June 22nd. On that day we had over 60 volunteers ranging in age from 2 to 80, with a mix of skill levels. Children were able to learn what it means to serve our neighbours, while watching their parents and other church adults work to clean up five houses.

The project was able to reach out to three individual homes and two local agencies. Homeowners were delighted with the change to their yards through general cleanup, weeding, mulching, trimming and mowing. Volunteers at the local agency sites were able to engage directly with residents, even encouraging some of them to come out to the church service the next day.

We look forward to an even bigger event next year as we reach out into our community with the love of Jesus!

A BIG THANK-YOU TO ALL OUR VOLUNTEERS!!!
