Love My Neighbour 2024

Love My Neighbour is a one-day volunteer event that focuses on showing the love of Jesus by practically serving those in need in our community. This project provides opportunities to connect with those we serve and those we serve with. As a church, we strive to glorify God by multiplying disciples who are transforming our community and reaching our world. Love My Neighbour gives each of us an exciting way to live this out. This event is open to all who would like to participate, whether you call Bethel your home church or you are from the community. We invite you to join us as we serve the community of Strathroy on Saturday, June 22.

What does the day look like?

Through this event, volunteers will perform various outdoor work projects at a chosen candidate’s home or local agency. Examples of outdoor work projects could include cleaning, painting, weeding, fixing, building, etc. We will not engage in any roof work nor any indoor work. All work projects will be screened and planned in advance of the event day.

PROJECT DETAILS

Project opportunities will be communicated to volunteers in advance of the June 22nd date. Volunteers can expect to spend up to 4 hours working that day. Volunteer projects will be available for all ages, with a unique opportunity for parents to teach their children about servanthood, while completing projects together. All volunteers are asked to bring appropriate work clothing, water bottle, sunscreen and a bagged lunch with them. T-shirts are required to be worn and will be provided by the church.
