What is ALPHA?

Do you have questions about LIFE? FAITH? MEANING? HOPE? Wow, I think we all do!

Are you someone who has no religion, or is mildly religious? Who has no church? Who has left the church? Who is in a church but is struggling with your faith? Then Alpha is for you!

At each Alpha night you:

  1. Share a meal

  2. Watch a video

  3. Share your thoughts - if you want to

In Alpha we explore the basics of the Christian faith in a non-threatening way. We enjoy a free meal together; we watch a video presenting one aspect of the Christian faith; then we breakout into small table groups to discuss. It’s is a place where you can be yourself. You can say what you think and challenge everything. No question is too complex or too simple. And your point of view is just as important as everyone else’s. There is no pressure.

It’s a 9-week session designed to create conversation. But don’t let the 9 weeks scare you away - try the first session, if it does not appeal to you, that’s it, that’s your commitment - at the very least, you will have enjoyed a great meal and some good company!

 

ALPHA Begins Tuesday, January 28 at Bethel Strathroy.

We meet for 2 hours each Tuesday night starting at 6:00 pm. The night ends at 8:00 pm.

Child Care - Nursery to Grade 5

We know it can be hard for parents with kids. That’s why we offer child care from nursery to Grade 5. Your children can eat the meal with you and then go off to their rooms where they will be cared for by Bethel Kids trained volunteers. This will allow you to engage in the video talk and discussions in a distraction free environment.
